Automotive SEARCH Directory Link & Listing Submission
The Directory at Automotive SEARCH Network serves as
a means for non-members to submit a web resource listing for consideration
and review for inclusion in our automotive directory. Upon listing
approval at Directory.AutomotiveSEARCH.net, that
same resource or information URL may also be considered as a resource
to include in our approved URL pool for the search engine. The web
resources URL pool is from which our dedicated Google powered
automotive search engine draws its results from.
Directory or Search Engine Inclussion
Inclussion in the Automotive SEARCH Directory does not necessarily
mean inclussion in the search engine, or vice versa. The directory
allows us a method to accept automotive related resource and information
submissions from those who choose not to join either as an Automotive
SEARCH Network member or as a volunteer editor. The directory
additionally functions as a browseable, searchable index of online
automotive resources and information for those users who might prefer
the directory format.
Only volunteer editors can approve linked listings in the Automotive
SEARCH Directory. Only volunteer editors may add links to the
pool of URLs for the search engine to spider and include as a resource
for the Automotive Search results. All others may only submit
to the Automotive SEARCH Directory. Links and listings not
accepted into the directory will undoubtedly not be included as a
resource in our approved URL Pool for the Automotive Search
engine. Therefore, it is important to pay special attention to the
AutomotiveSEARCH.net Directory submission
guidelines outlined below.
How to Submit a Link & Listing:
To submit a proper link and listing, you should find the deepest and
most appropriate category for the resource you want to list, and click
the "Submit Listing" link in the navigation bar.
As an example, if you want to submit a resource for a shop which services
mufflers and exhaust systems, you should choose to list your resource
in:

Unlike other niche directories, we actually want to be a useful index
for our users so that they can depend on our results. That won't happen
without all of the right resource listings. However, we encourage
you to rewrite each listing so that it is appropriate for the category
it is listed under. In the exhaust section you should sell your exhaust
and muffler expertise, in the brakes subcategory you should sell your
expertise in brakes, etc...
It is very important to find the most appropriate category and write
a proper listing for your online resource using the guidelines given
below. These guidelines are significant and will appear again on the
listing submission page. Failure to pay attention to these guidelines
will jeapordize your listing submission success.
As reciprocal link exchange listings are offered without any charge,
we don't have the time to correct all the improperly written reciprocal
link listings that come in on a daily basis. So we simply delete any
listing that does not conform to the following guidelines. This in
itself eliminates having to visit over half of the websites submitted
to check them before approval. Please pay attention to the guidelines!
Submission Guidelines
Automotive SEARCH Directory is a quality, general
audience, English language automotive and motorsports directory for
everyone of all ages. Our primary focus is on automotive and motorsport
related resources and information, whether commercial, non-profit,
or private. We do not accept listings that are unsuitable for any
age group. Listing records are valid for the life of the original
hyperlink submission resource.
Directory.AutomotiveSEARCH.net only accepts listings
for quality automotive and motorsports related websites which clearly
define a purpose and follow through on that promise.
For the purpose of clarity, we define the terms "automotive
related" and "motorsport related" as:
automotive related:
Anything directly affecting or related to any vehicle or vessel
that is motion propelled over the earth's surface through a mechanical
means. Examples include (but are not limited to) auto dealers,
car clubs, auto enthusiasts, mechanical service shops, tools, automotive
supplies, trucks, motorcycles, motor boats, snowmobiles, go-karts,
model cars, etc.
motorsport related:
Racing, exhibiting or showing any automotive related vehicle. Examples
include (but are not limited to) auto racing, motorcycle Xtreme
stunt exhibitions, tractor pulls, truck off-roading, pit crew challenges,
hydroplane racing, etc.
Any hyperlink listing submission that follows the Automotive
SEARCH Directory submission guidelines and is completely
rejected from all directory subcategories will be refunded any accompanying
listing submission fee. Note that the staff may move submissions to
a more appropriate subcategory or edit any listing and this does not
constitue rejection. To be sure that your site is listed, search for
the URL using the directory's search facility (located on every page
of the directory).
AutomotiveSEARCH.net Directory Guidelines:
Only submit English language resources of good taste which can be
viewed by everyone of all age groups.
Do NOT submit sites which promote, offer or sell:
- Pornography
- Gambling
- Cracks or Piracy
- Crime
- Drugs
- Credit Cards
- Multi Level Marketing (MLM)
- Get-rich-quick schemes
- Spam
- Hate
- Violence
Additionally, do NOT submit:
- Websites under construction.
- Sites with broken links.
- Affiliate links or affiliate based websites.
- Made for advertisement sites (scraper sites).
- Any site where advertisement links can be confused with the navigation
links.
- Websites using excessive pop-ads (ads that pop-up, pop-under,
pop on exit).
- Websites/Listings in any language other than English.
- Listings for websites which are not automotive or motorsport related.
- Listings with HTML, BB code, links or a URL in the description
(use text only).
More Guidelines & Tips:
- Select the deepest category possible to submit your resource listing.
- Do no use all upper or lower case characters for your title or
description.
- Capitalize the first letter of every significant word of the title
(unless a trademark using lower case).
Example:

- Do not use a period at the end in a title (it's a title, not a
sentence).
- Use correct punctuation in your title & description.
- Do not use the following characters: " @ # $ % ^
- Do not overuse exclamation marks.
- Do not use offensive language or words.
- Be objective. Describe your offering truthfully.
- Avoid "The Best", "The Most", "Awesome",
"Cool".
- Write in the third person. "I", "We" and "Us"
refers to us, Directory.AutomotiveSEARCH.net.
